Police issue urgent appeal as two schoolgirls have been missing for over 48 hours

Police have launched an urgent appeal to find two girls who have been missing for more than 48 hours. Alayah, 15 and 14, Zulaikha, are from the Bordesley Green and Alum Rock areas of the city and have not been seen since Tuesday morning.

Police initially appealed for Alayah on Wednesday March 23, but believe the girls are together. They said: “Their families are understandably very worried about them, as are we.”

The pair could be heading to the Wolverhampton area. Officers released photographs and descriptions of the girls in an effort to find them.
