Dead Can Dance postpones fall tour due to COVID concerns

The dead can danceThe twice rescheduled 40th Anniversary North American tour was scheduled to begin in San Diego on October 1, but the group rescheduled it again, this time to 2022.

A group statement reads as follows:

It is with great sadness and regret that we have to announce that our North American tour in October is postponed. We are extremely disappointed to have to share this news with you as we were really looking forward to finally playing for all of you once again.

After carefully monitoring the current COVID-19 situation like everyone else, it was decided that we cannot put the health and safety of the musicians, the team, the promoters, the staff of the venue and especially the fans in potential danger by touring in October.

The band and team will be traveling to North America from all over the world, making it increasingly uncertain and presenting additional risks and challenges to getting to shows safely.

We are working to move our tour dates to a safer time in 2022, when we can perform in front of our fans across the continent knowing that the shows are safe for those involved.

We will share the new tour dates with you as soon as possible.
