10-Year-Old Who Went Viral Screaming Spiritbox on TV Makes Its Song Debut

Last month, America’s Got Talent Candidate Harper blew us away with her awe-inspiring — and, honestly, slightly terrifying — rendition of Spiritbox’s “Holy Roller.”

We’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of his first original track ever since, and luckily the wait is now over.

Titled “Falling”, it was written and produced by Ben Lumber (Acres) and Chris Wiseman (Currents/Shadow of Intent). Harper explains that “Falling” was actually written “shortly” after covering “Holy Roller”, adding, “It was the first creative process and songwriting process that I was involved in, so it was super fun creating something i can call my own.

She even created a music video for the song, which you can check out below. Directed by Lumber – with additional footage from Haunted Mattress – it’s a frenetic and mysterious clip that makes the searing song all the more appealing.

Additionally, the new song and video comes alongside the announcement that Harper has signed to indie label Pale Chord (in partnership with Rise Records) which is also home to Spiritbox. So far, she says, they’ve been “nothing short of amazing.”

Last summer, Harper released a vocal cover video for “Holy Roller” that garnered over 225,500 views on YouTube. It has also received praise from many major rock and metal publications.

Since then, she has received “nothing but love and support” from Spiritbox, and she even had the chance to play with them at 02 Academy Islington in London last June. “[It] was a dream come true and a memory I will cherish and be eternally grateful for,” Harper said of the experience.

Without a doubt, “Falling” is just another first step in what is sure to be a meteoric rise in metal.
